Caretaker / Handy Person – London Area 

Rates Of Pay : £15.00 per hour

We are looking for a Caretaker / Handyperson for a Facilities Management client looking after a residential development of several apartments

Daily General Tasks

• As main Key Holder for a number of owners you will be the first point of contact in an emergency callout situation.
• Spot cleaning of spillages in all blocks
• Ensuring that external rubbish is stored appropriately and kept in a clean and tidy condition.
• Carrying out minor repairs to property, fixtures, fittings and equipment, which are not beyond the scope of an unskilled handyman.
• Reporting any repairs or maintenance work, which is beyond the competence and responsibility of the Caretaker to Client.
• Directing workmen and contractors to the location of repair and maintenance work and providing access as required.
• Ensure that clear passage is maintained on fire escape routes at all times.

All BLOCKS & ESTATE

• Site inspection of the estate to make sure all lighting is in good working order.
• Check all lights and replace failed bulbs, report any issues to Client.
• Check of both passenger lifts. Sweep floors of lift and wipe down as required.
• Litter pick of the grounds, car parking areas and garage areas.
• Check all bin store areas and bin chutes to make sure they are in a clean and tidy condition.
• Site inspection of the estate to make sure the estate is secure.
• Check all Fire Doors, Communal Windows and doors are operating correctly and closing securely.
• Health & Safety inspection of all pathways, slabs, steps and report any maintenance related items to client.
• Sweep roadways, pick up litter and be responsible for the removal of all debris from paths, grassed areas, flowerbeds and all entrances

This is a full time 40 hours a week between Monday to Friday

This could be a temp to perm for the right candidate.
