Salary/Rate: £24,000 – £26,000/annum Job Role – Road Freight – Export/Import Customs Co-ordinator We are looking for a Road Freight – Export/Import Customs Co-ordinator for one of our prestigious client Purpose To define and ensure understanding of role and responsibilities of this position within The Company Key Duties and Responsibilities Responsible for managing the export/import processes for road freight shipments Raising job files and inputting data into Sigma (FMS) Creating collection and delivery notes, CMR’s and invoices in a timely manner Liaising with clients to ensure all required documentation is provided to ensure a smooth shipping process Completing ICS filing Dealing with all aspects of customs entry declarations and create and maintain a spreadsheet log Co-ordinating with customs for clearance and managing customs entry exceptions Creating EU run sheets and booking appropriate transport Managing EU airfreight (ie DHL) and EU road courier shipments Develop effective relationships with customers and suppliers for an effective and efficient service and communicating with clients regarding their shipment progress Sending proof of exports/imports to clients Answering phones Office filing Supporting the Road Freight team, and others, in general with all aspects of shipping fine art and antiques from one destination to another: Assessing your clients individual needs on a daily basis – liaising with overseas agents, private collectors galleries, auction houses, artists, transport companies etc) Communicating with our clients, guiding them through the process of art shipping of their artefacts from different locations Arranging customer collections and deliveries, which may also include the arranging of specialist packing services Preparing and processing all documentation and the booking of the chosen method of transportation Efficiently handling paperwork including bills of lading, labelling, timesheets and detailed condition reports with photos, customs clearance and advising the customer of any required payments due Experience / Skills required Excellent communication and organising skills Team player Focussed on attention to detail and well organised Knowledge of EU customs procedures and tariff codes Knowledge of cultural export licences and CITES A knowledge of the shipping process surrounding Brexit Experience of completing export entries Experience using Sigma (not essential as training will be given) Competency in Excel and Outlook
